Health Plan Select ranks #1 in the Nation!
For ten years, Athens Area Health Plan Select (AAHPS) has consistently ranked in the top 10% of all health plans nationwide in the areas that matter most. In the 2007 Health Plan Alliance CAHPS comparative survey, Health Plan Select raised the bar on its competition once again--ranking #1 in the nation among health plans in the areas of customer service and fast, efficient claims processing.
The Health Plan Alliance is comprised of more than 30 provider-sponsored health plans, and provides a forum for participating plans to share information. In the 2007 CAHPS survey, which took place between February and May, Health Plan Select ranked above average on nearly every element of the survey.
Besides placing first in Customer Service and Claims Processing, AAHPS also scored exceptionally high in the areas of "Getting Needed Care", "Getting Care Quickly", "Physician Communication" and "Plan Information on Costs".
