How the program works at retail:
- Request a prescription from your physician for a 90-day supply of Prilosec OTC;
- Take the prescription to your local retail pharmacy;
- Pay your three (3) generic copays (lowest copay) and walk away with your 3-month supply!
- A 90-day supply of Prilosec OTC costs less than a 30-day supply of any other proton pump inhibitor (Nexium/Prevacid/Protonix/Aciphex)
How the program works at Walgreens Mail Service:
Mail your original prescription (or have your physician fax the prescription) to Walgreens Mail. The prescription must be written for Prilosec OTC, not brand Prilosec or omeprazole
You will pay two (2) generic copays (lowest copay) for a 90 day supply.
A prescription received for any other PPI will be returned to you unfilled. Nexium, Prevacid, Protonix, and Aciphex are no longer available through the mail order program.
